Garlic Chicken with
Cabbage
Crock Pot Recipe
1 whole chicken, cut up
Your favorite poultry rub
1 medium onion chopped (big chunks are
better)
4 garlic cloves (add more if you want)
salt and pepper to taste
1 head cabbage
2 Tbsp butter or margarine
Garlic salt
Season the chicken with your favorite poultry
rub (we use Paul Prudhomme's Poultry Magic) and put it in your crock
pot. Add everything but the cabbage and butter. Add enough water
to cover the chicken and cook on HIGH for 4 to 5 hours or until
the chicken is mostly done.
Now you'll want to core the cabbage and cut
it into good sized chunks. Put it in a large pot, add the butter
and then salt and pepper to taste. Cook on medium to high heat for
about half an hour or until tender. Drain and use as a bed for the
chicken.
