Fantastic for Dieters!

Naturally delicious, pears have no cholesterol, saturated fat, or sodium. One pear has only 81 calories so eat all you want, these babies are good for you.

Pear Nog

1 pear, cored and cut into chunks (peel if desired)
1/2 cup skim or 1% milk
1/4 cup egg substitute
1 tsp brown sugar
1 large pinch of cinnamon
2 or 3 ice cubes

Put everything in a blender and blend until smooth, about 15 or 20 seconds.

Microwave Breakfast Cobbler

1 - 16 oz can peaches, sliced and drained
1 - 16 oz can pears, halves and drained
1 cup prunes, pitted and halved
1 tsp. grated orange peel
1½ cups lowfat granola cereal
1/3 cup orange juice

In a shallow, 6-cup microwave safe bowl, toss the pears, peaches, orange peel, prunes, and orange juice. Sprinkle the granola on top and microwave on HIGH for 5 minutes (or less... keep an eye on it). Let stand a minute or two and serve warm.
