Prune Smoothie
1/4 cup pitted prunes
1 banana
1 scoop of your favorite protein powder
1 cup water
3 ice cubes
Put everything in a blender and let her rip.
If you work out drink this as soon as you are done so your body
can get a nice shot of protein.

Lamb and Prune Casserole
1 cup dried pitted prunes
1 1/4 cups light beer
2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 lb shallots
2 lb shoulder of lamb, cubed
1 1/4 cups stock
salt and freshly grounded pepper
1/2 lb sliced carrots
1/4 cup cornstarch, mixed with a little water
In a smallish bowl, soak the prunes in the beer
for 1 to 2 hours. Get the oil good and hot then fry the shallots
for a minute or two. Add the cubed lamb and fry until it is browned.
(It doesn't need to cook all the way through.) Add everything else
but the cornstarch. Bring this to a boil and simmer for half an
hour. As it simmers, thicken it up with the cornstarch. Transfer
everything to a baking dish and bake it at 350 for about an hour.
